Sunlight On Her Clean Clothes
This shoot was inspired by one of my favorite songs by the band Mt Joy, "Mt. Joy". They sing about a girl they admire, pointing out the way the sunlight falls on her clean clothes. Even though she might not see her life as anything extraordinary as she wears hand-me-downs and lives with her parents, this song expresses how lovely she is in their eyes.

I was assigned 3 characteristics--bank manager, charismatic, and critic--and had to develop a character based on those words. For this project, we focused on our character development skills, along with our rendering and gradient skills.

I made my best friend her own issue of Vogue! It is filled cover to cover with articles, advertisements, and notes from those who love her most. It also includes a secretly conducted interview with Carnegie Mellon graduate Jennifer Jia, who works as a part-time journalist.
